Tired Update // Oof, It’s Been A Bit // Personal

Well, this year hasn’t quite gone the way I was planning.

My main goal for this year’s blog was to keep up with it. Nothing too crazy. A post a week, minimum. Well, life got in the way. Not going to go into deep detail, but my life has been pretty rough over the last six months. So once again, this blog took a long hiatus. I actually took a break from social media for a little while as well. It’s been a really long six months, and I’m still not in a perfect place, but I can feel myself getting better. I missed writing, so I’m hoping that by trying to jump back into this, I can start to feel normal again.

Over these last few months, gaming has taken a back seat in my life. It’s not like I haven’t been playing games. The Steam Deck is still my best friend. I’ve played numerous games on it, and beaten a few. New World also got a new expansion, so I’ve been digging into that game once again, and loving it. I went on a pretty big spending spree on some cheap games, specifically for my Steam Deck, so I have quite a few games to play right now. Admittedly, probably too many. Especially with Cyberpunk coming back with a massive update, Assassin’s Creed Mirage just released, which of course I bought and haven’t played yet.

My main focus these past few months has been working out and focusing on myself. I think I’ve improved a lot and I definitely won’t be slowing down with it. As I have felt like I’ve been getting better though, I’m realizing that writing is still pretty important to me. Video games are still pretty important to me. So hopefully I can get back into the swing of things and start posting some interesting stuff again.

I have some stuff planned. Some of the games I have played on Steam Deck I’ve had some rough drafts sitting in here for a while. I also have some stuff prepped for short reviews on some books I read a little bit ago. The idea still stands. I want to keep up with this blog. I want to try and beat my 2019 numbers, where I was heavily invested in the website. I think it’s possible, but even if I don’t hit it, somehow this year is still my second best year.

I feel like this post was super personal, even though I don’t think I said a whole lot. I think I still have people interested in my content, and maybe I can find some new people, too. I would love to continue building up this gaming blog community as much as possible. So stay tuned, some more unfiltered content coming your way!
